February 21, 2017:  We would like to thank our friends at Launie.com for sponsoring this year's new $10,000 hole-in-one hole.  Launie has been a great supporter of the Lucy's Open for the past 3 years and this year is no exception.  I would like to thank her for again helping to make this one of the better events in the area.  Come out and take your shot at winning $10,000!!

February 27, 2017:  Today we get to announce that we have found our sponsor for the doubles event happening Friday afternoon June 23rd.  Our friends at Hobby Town USA in Ammon, ID have graciously accepted our invitation to host this year's doubles event.  They will be on site Friday afternoon with their inventory of discs, backpacks, and bags.  This will again be a pick your own partner doubles event with prizes for the top 3 teams in both advanced and recreational.  It will be a scramble format (both throw and pick best result and throw again from that spot) with a flex start from 2:00p-7:00p.  See you all there.

March 2, 2017:  The tournament is up on discgolfscene.com and registration will open on April 3rd at 8:00 A.M. mountain time.

April 3, 2017:  Registration for this year's Lucy's Open has opened at discgolfscene.com.  Please don't wait as this event will fill quickly.

April 18, 2017:  We are a little over two weeks into registration and I am happy to announce that we are about half filled.  As I need to order player packs and discs soon I need to announce that you'll need to register by Sunday April 23rd, to guarantee your t-shirt size.  I will do my best to order a wide variety of sizes, but if you want to ensure you get the size you want please register by this Sunday.  See you all in June.

June 28, 2017:  This past weekend was fantastic with 85 players participating in the main event on Saturday, and 28 teams participating in the doubles event on Friday.  Firstly I'd like to thank my sponsors again for making this event possible.  All of my sponsors stepped up this year to make this event bigger and better and for that I am greatly appreciative.  Unfortunately no one hit the $10,000 hole in one this year, but I feel this added some excitement to an already great event with every shot on 18 being watched for the chance to be worth thousands of dollars.  Here is the list of winners for this year's event: Open - Dallin Blanchard (93), Advanced - Braden Hillebrant (98), Advanced Masters - Drew Nielsen (108), Advanced Grandmasters - David Adamson (115), Intermediate - Mike Nielsen (106), Intermediate Women - Jennifer Rackham (141), Recreational - Shawn Cafferty (119), and Juniors - Caden Myrick (130).  Finally I would like to thank everyone who traveled to Idaho Falls for the event and to all of the participants.  We had people from all over the country including Texas, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Utah, Idaho, Pennsylvania, and Hawaii.
